Learning to Love Our Bodies

Do you know what it feels like to love your body completely, as it is now?

I thought I was in a healthy relationship with my body for the most part - and considering that I was a drug addict, alcoholic and bulimic 23 years ago, I have come a million miles.  Yet my guides decided to take me on a body journey recently, that showed me the multiple judgments I hold about various parts of my body, that are “just part of the furniture” of my mind so I wasn’t aware of them. I was quite shocked and saddened when I realised how I am subtly rejecting my body all the time and I’m not even aware of it. They explained the energetic effect of carrying all these judgments and why it’s essential for our liberation from so much suffering to do this work of loving and forgiving our bodies. Especially at the more subtle levels, even if we’ve already done the heavy lifting work of overcoming eating disorders etc. 

I can see with total clarity that most of us associate our bodies with shame, pain, guilt and fear because we’ve been programmed this way. But now in this time of the Great Awakening, we have the choice to see through these programs and choose new ones. It’s work, yes, but do you know what it’s like to feel free, safe, secure and loved in your body? 

We do this healing not only for ourselves, we are healing our ancestral line, we’re healing our kids, we’re healing the planet.

This is a wonderful daily practice, like an energetic bath.I listened to the video last week, and then committed to it every day, running my hands over my body in love, being present and noticing how much more whole I feel. I literally feel lighter! I am more aware of my position in the environment. I'm walking down the stairs without using the railing, I'm standing and sitting up straighter. I'm happy to be in this body right now. This practice of loving our bodies is a must. The body is part of the process, because it is a part of us, here in the present experience. I've worked in dancing through the process, with fun music, and getting lost in that, letting go of everything else for the time being. You are putting beautiful things out in the world.
